## Instructions
- Writer styles-first: never direct-format body text; Heading 1-3 + Text Body + Quote + Code defined in Styles deck (F11); `Update Style` from selection, templates `.ott` for reuse.
- Writer long docs: Navigator (F5) headings, TOC Insert → Index (from styles), footnotes/endnotes auto-numbered, cross-refs as fields (never typed numbers); Master Document for books.
- Calc parity notes: `XLOOKUP` (LO 7.2+), `FILTER`/`SORT`/`UNIQUE`, PivotTables (Data → Create Pivot Table), `TEXTSPLIT` via `TEXT(...;...)`+regex fallback; `.xlsx` round-trip check before sending to Excel users.
- Calc hygiene: one header row, no merged cells in data, dates ISO, Tables as Database Ranges, Data → Validity for dropdowns, `TRACK CHANGES`/`Protect Sheet` for shared budgets (pairs budget-sheets).
- Impress master slides: View → Master → define Title/Content/Section layouts, fonts (Liberation/Inter), palette 3+1, footer/page-number placeholders; all decks start from custom `.otp`, zero per-slide formatting.
- Impress delivery: 6×6 rule (6 bullets, 6 words), 24pt+ body, images compressed (Compress in Properties), Presenter Console notes; Export PDF handouts + `.pptx` only at send time.
- PDF/forms export: File → Export as PDF (PDF/A-2b for archive, tagged for accessibility), Forms via Form Controls toolbar (text/check/combo + export Forms `Create PDF form`); Writer → Fillable PDF without extra tools.
- Interop: save working copy `.odt/.ods/.odp`, export `.docx/.xlsx/.pptx` for sharing; PowerPoint skill owns animations, this skill owns masters + ODF truth; test open in MS Office online before client send.
- Track changes + comments: Edit → Track Changes → Record/Show/Manage; comments Ctrl+Alt+C resolve flow; Versions (File → Versions) snapshots before big restructures.
- Macros cautious: Python macros preferred over Basic, LibreOffice → Python path documented per file; disable auto-macros on untrusted docs (Tools → Options → Security → Macro Security High).
- Print/mailing: Writer mail-merge (Tools → Mail Merge, Calc/CSV source), label templates via New → Labels, `Print Preview` + page styles (First/Content) for duplex correctness.
- Backup: `.bak` + versioning on (Tools → Options → Load/Save), keep in syncthing folder, restic offsite; template gallery synced across machines (`~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/template/`).
